Arjuna Manamperi is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL) and a Chartered Engineer. He serves as a Vice President of the Organization of Professional Associations of Sri Lanka (OPASL) and is the Chairman of its National Issues Committee. He is also the Vice Chairman of the ICT Industry Skills Council (ICTISC). A past Vice President of IESL, he chaired its Continuing Professional Development Committee and Mechanical Engineering Sectional Committee for two and three consecutive council sessions, respectively. Arjuna received the 2013 IESL Engineering Excellence-President Award for his transformational leadership in digitalization of IESL processes.
Arjuna has over three decades of executive leadership experience in several industries in Sri Lanka and USA. He has led complex organizational turnarounds, implemented complex IT systems and done management consulting to SMEs. He returned to Sri Lanka after twenty years in the USA, and since then, dedicated most of his time to mentor young people, and to enhance the impact and influence of the Sri Lankan professionals to develop the country.
Arjuna has a B.Sc. in Production Engineering from the University of Peradeniya, MS in Industrial Engineering from Wichita State University, Kansas, USA. He also holds an MBA from the same University.
